I posted earlier in the week a looooong post of FAQs which included a paragraph on what happens when new horses arrive.
I rely so heavily on Felix and Charlie when it comes to rehabs settling in that I thought they deserved a post - and a clip - of their own.
They have incredible social skills and never fail to strike exactly the right note when meeting a new horse for the first time, as well as ensuring that the Rockley herd is always as peaceful as possible.
Here they are with a young warmblood who has just arrived and isn't really sure what's going on...

That's absolutely amazing, they are a pair of gems.

Like two old farmers leaning on the fence, smoking pipes and watching the antics of a city slicker new to the neighbourhood...
Thank you :-) They are pros and certainly know their jobs :-)
It amazed me when they stayed so calm when paddy started hooning around once he had realised that his new best friend Rollo was in a different area!!
What a terrific team to settle in new horses!
I love how calm and reassuring they are to the new horse as he zooms around. They don't get caught up at all in his drama - we people could take a lesson from them when working with our horses!
@Kate... never mind not getting caught up with our HORSES' drama... this would also work great if we could pull it off with our children.
What a lovely piece of footage (and great choice of music too). They really are brilliant, your two (new boy looks stunning, too, beautiful face :0) )
they are such superstars! I love the look of bored 'here we go again' on their faces.
Fantastic - what pros! They know their job and back each other up. Good they are a solid pair so could stand up to a dominant horse.
Kate and Heila - love your comments - yes absolutely!
Bruce - they do - in fact with pushy horses they make them stand in a corner til they come back and ask politely ;-)
What an unselfish pair they are.
The pair of them are sooo funny! Clearly they've been through this a time or two (or three...) and have the process down pat.
