Harvey - 10 week hoof comparison

Time for an update on Harvey, the little QH who came here nearly 12 weeks ago - he goes home next weekend and its high time he had an update all to himself.   When he arrived he was already barefoot but had been lame on his RF and LF  - alternating between them - for a number of weeks.
On MRI he had bilateral collateral ligament and impar ligament damage as well as inflammation to the navicular bursa and had been recommended box rest for up to 6 months.

He was landing toe first and this improved fairly quickly:
but if you compare his hoof on arrival to today, you can see its better still - the frog has improved and the heels and digital cushion are far more robust.
Here is the side view of his hooves - not bad, but a long toe which has changed and (below) is growing in at a healthier angle.   He has about half a good hoof capsule but you can see that once fully grown in his toe will be much shorter.
His footage on a circle shows the ups and downs of rehab - in the first clip he had been here 6 weeks or so and had made good progress but then took a backward step.  In the last 2 clips he has improved again, and if all goes well that should now continue.
