Dali - 2 and a half weeks

Sorry about the late blog - the internet was down yesterday so I am behind on stuff! I thought Rachael could do with a Dali update - there is not an enormous amount of change yet in his hooves as he has only been here 2 and a half weeks but at least he is starting to head in the right direction!
Looking at the obvious event line, you can see the its already moving down his hoof so even in this short time there is some good growth happening.

Some improvement in the frog and the foot is starting to develop at the back.

This is the sort of thing we need more of, to stop his toe first landing and the stress on his DDFT...

has is only been 2 and a half weeks? feels like months already lol. The difference is amazing for just a few weeks mind, the heel looks absolutley massive in the bottom shots compared to how flat and lifeless it was, you can tell theres been blood pumping in there for the first time in awhile :) Also seems like a bit of a concave is starting to happen on the sole and he is quite flat footed, well thats what I see not that I really know what im looking at yet :)Cheers Nic keep up the amazing work ; theres hope for the young man yet ;)

Those last 2 shots show a spectacular difference for only 2 and a half weeks, to my eyes anyway. Go Dali!!

"Only" 2.5 weeks?!?! My goodness, the changes are really quite amazing! No matter how many times you post before-and-after pics, it never ceases to impress me how fast horses manage to repair their feet, when given the chance. Fantastic!

I'm so impatient - I want them to change even faster :-)

It's exciting stuff isn't it Rachael?! Looking again at Dali's pics, that caudal hoof in the last picture honestly looks like it could be from a different horse, it's a totally different shape!! It's incredible!

M's got a lot to live up to now, hasn't he?! ;-)

PS: I promise its the same hoof in all those photos!

D'you know, I'd be ecstatic if you showed me changes like that in M's feet after less than 3 weeks!!! (But I promise not to get all scarily competitive over feet!!!)

thats exactly what I am ecstatic, I was telling myself not to get excited as its such a short amount of time, hes been lame for so long and has soo much to repair the odds were against any big changes really :) sooo many ppl would have and have said to put him down, there isnt a single person or professional that gave Dali any hope, just glad my vet was happy to give him a few happy last years while he was reasonably comfy and happy! Im Deffo a convert now if I wasnt before Give Dali-boy huggles for me Nic! Im sure M will live up to it and then some hes in the best place in the world to do so :D

If there is one thing I've learned about rehab its that its never too late for a horse to grow better feet :-)
