Some farrier is trying very, very hard to make that poor horse comfortable. I'll be very interested to hear the whole story (at least, what you can tell).
Also could you please send some of the rain, cool weather, and grass this way?
That intrigued you all, anyway! This horse has a great vet, and I can understand what the farrier was trying to do as well - lots more over the weekend ;-)
Jen, we have rain, we have streams running like in January, we have horses in rugs - SO sorry we can't let share it :-( Boggy and soggy over here and grass growing like billy-oh....Come to the UK on sabbatical instead :-)
A diary of whats happening at Rockley, whether its news on rehab horses who are here now, our own horses hunting or former rehabs out competing. All the horses are barefoot, and the blog includes updates on hoof rehabilitation and information about barefoot performance.
You can find out more about research, rehabilitation and our horses on the pages above or at our website: www.rockleyfarm.co.uk.

OMG, My horse was recommended eggbars with wedges, so glad I never took that route. Barefoot for Eva!
that looks like a classic vet/farrier discussion.
I've edited out the sentence that followed that...
