Horse of the week: Original Flynn

The Original Flynn, who went home in August, has been running a campaign on Facebook to get himself recognised as "Horse of the Week" ever since I (unfairly) inaugurated this modest award after he had already left Rockley.
Well, this week is definitely his week - especially after his human admirers (of whom there are of course too many to mention) took these great pics of him out and about at home.
You'd be smiling too if you had a horse as magnificent as Flynn ;-)

Just time, if Flynn doesn't object, to quickly add this video update by Wiola on the progress of Kingsley and Pocholo who seem to be doing well in their new Hampshire home. Clever boys!  Also kudos to Wiola, who is riding despite a dislocated knee... :-0

Nic. I am glad to report Flynn is still on a gradual upward incline of improvement. So much so that the photos you have posted here are from an 8 mile hack which included 4 miles of tarmac, 1 mile of stony track, one loud squeal (accompanied by cantering on the spot), almost immediately followed by several hundred metres of i-think-I'm-still-in-control-but-I'm-not-sure canter/gallop. His central sulcuses all still need attention, and are not yet perfect, but all 4 frogs are looking (in the words of Daft Punk) Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. What pleases me most is how my equine friend has got his character back. I always knew he was stoic but seeing how happy he is now, is indicative of how much he must of been suffering in his latter days with shoes on. I don't want to talk too soon (blah, blah, blah) but for the time being Flynn is a happy bunny, and thus so am I. I have been gathering photo evidence of his hoof development and will send you some soon. Comments welcome. In the meantime, thanks again for helping me get him on the road to recovery.

Ah, Matt, that report well and truly gives me a Friday feeling :-) wonderful, and keep up the good work!

I'll look forward to the photos and maybe Flynn will then have to have another post devoted entirely to him... ;-)
