The map's gone completely blue...

This is the BBC's weather map for the south west today(!) - for the Texans, the blue is rain - I'd send you some if I could...
Don't think we have to worry about drought any longer (and it is heading east, so good news for the rest of the country!) but the puppy dogs and horses are NOT best pleased...

I had a visit yesterday from someone who is thinking of sending her horse here - from drought-stricken Kent(!) - and as the hail hammered on the barn roof we agreed that she would need to send his medium-weight rug with him, not just a rain sheet...

ETA: We had nearly 2 inches of rain that day - on top of already wet ground - good job we are on the side of a hill :-)

Oh yes, please PLEASE send rain this way. The forecast for the next 10 days is over 100 each day with no chance of rain.

Even the trees are starting to wilt... :(

Sorry Jen :-( We've had more than an elegant sufficiency, as well, so would have had lots to spare.

Our stream, which had been a pathetic trickle and had slowed to a series of puddles is now back in Winter Raging Torrent mode...It never rains....
